Pennsylvania Regulations

What Are the Pest Inspection Licensing Laws in Pennsylvania?

PA does not license Pest Inspectors.  However, in some cases banks or other loan underwriting institutions may require a pest inspection as a contingency for a loan. In these cases the bank or other financial institution may require a pesticide applicator license for anyone conducting the pest inspection. Licensed pesticide applicators are required to stay current in their field by obtaining 10 training credits for each three year licensing period. This pest inspection course would completely cover that requirement.

Note: The Professional Home Inspector Pest Course is not approved for pre-licensing Pesticide applicators in PA.

What are the Home Inspection Licensing laws in Pennsylvania?

In Pennsylvania there is not a state approval process for home inspection schools. This task is left to the several nonprofit home inspection societies. The Professional Home Inspection Institute's home inspection training courses are approved by several national nonprofit home inspection societies, which require training for membership.
